High School Senior Superstars: Shining Bright in Our Community
At No Excuse Produce, we take immense pride in the development of our athletes, not just as basketball players but as individuals who excel in all facets of life. This year, we are thrilled to celebrate three of our standout seniors who are making waves both on and off the court. James McKinney, Cheyton Marshall, and Junior Aponte have been part of the No Excuse Produce family for the past three years, and their growth has been nothing short of remarkable. Let’s take a closer look at their journeys and achievements.
James McKinney – Nipmuc High
Coming off a dominant junior season, 6'7 James McKinney has solidified himself as one of the premier forwards in Central Massachusetts. Last year, James averaged an impressive 18 points per game (PPG) and 11 rebounds per game (RPG), demonstrating his ability to control the game on both ends of the court. His presence in the paint, coupled with his knack for scoring in critical moments, makes him a nightmare matchup for opponents. James’ relentless work ethic and commitment to the game are a testament to his dedication to being the best version of himself. James was recently ranked as one of the top 10 ranked basketball players in Massachusetts.
Cheyton Marshall – Burncoat High
Standing at 6’3” with a 6’7” wingspan, Cheyton Marshall is a top-tier combo guard in Central Massachusetts. A two-time Central Mass All-Star and one-time Holiday Superteam Honorable Mention, Cheyton is a force to be reckoned with. Last season, he averaged 11.8 PPG while leading the Burncoat Patriots to a deep playoff run. His versatility, basketball IQ, and defensive prowess make him an invaluable asset to his team. Off the court, Cheyton maintains a stellar 3.7 GPA, exemplifying the balance of academic and athletic excellence that we emphasize at No Excuse Produce.
Juan Aponte Jr – Abbey Kelley
Juan Aponte Jr has emerged as a sharpshooting guard for Abbey Kelley, showcasing his ability to hit big shots when it matters most. Last season, Junior averaged 9 PPG, proving to be a consistent scoring threat from the perimeter. Known for his smooth shooting stroke and unshakeable confidence, Junior’s contributions go far beyond the stat sheet. He’s a leader on and off the court, embodying the values of hard work and perseverance that we instill in all our athletes.
The No Excuse Produce Difference
James, Cheyton, and Junior are shining examples of what’s possible through dedication, passion, and the right support system. Over the past three years, they have honed their skills through countless hours of training, participating in clinics, tournaments, and team practices as part of the No Excuse Produce program. Beyond basketball, they’ve grown into leaders, students, and community role models.
As they prepare to cap off their high school careers and take the next steps in their journeys, we couldn’t be prouder to have played a role in their development. Whether it’s on the court, in the classroom, or in the community, these young men embody the No Excuse Produce mantra: No shortcuts. No excuses. Just hard work.
Let’s continue to support and celebrate their successes as they inspire the next generation of athletes in our program!
